Tal Berkovich, a name and brand which is on everyones lips at the moment, is from Israel she is a multi talent with abilities ranging from international modeling and interviewing to TV hosting, and has graced many of the worlds most prestigious magazines, such as FHM and Playboy. Berkovich is known as the international face of prestigious brands ranging from LA Fitness, Harrods Cosmetics and Coca Cola. She has also moved into the world of reality TV, as she impressed the judges on Strictly Come Dancing with her range of dance moves during the competition. Most recently, Berkovich lent her talents to the short film Soulmates, which had its premiere in the Short Film Corner Court Metrage at Cannes Film Festival 2. The film also screened at the London Asian Film Festival 2. Tongues on Fire Festival 2. Soulmates is directed and produced by Armaan Kirmani, and reflects on the relationships between the mixing cultures of the British Asian and immigrants. It examines the moral questions that those of us in modern society may or may not consider what happens when we get married before we are ready, and what of those people who have been part of our lives for many years but did not have the capacity to commitDoes marriage always mean happily ever after, or is marriage just the beginning of a new journey full of trials and tribulations This film was made with Western production values but maintained its Eastern soul. Not really being Bollywood or British Asian per se, but trying to create an in between middle ground, where realities of the modern society versus traditional values are exposed. Film Slate Magazine What attracted you to this script Tal Berkovich I found that the conflict between Judaism and Islam is very close to my heart as I am from Israel. I am a hopeless romantic and believe that love can win over everything. I also loved playing someone who isnt afraid and follows her heart. FSM How different did you find the preparation for this role as it encompassed moral, ethical and religious issues FSM What elements with your character in the movie were you particularly concerned with bringing out to the audience TB I didnt have anything I wasnt afraid to show in my character. I believe in the message of the movie and your character, as well as her actions associated with that. FSM I note that your career has been varied from modeling, interviewing presentingwhat advice would you give to those starting out in one field and considering other options TB I do believe in expanding your horizons and studying other areas, as it improves your talents in your original field.
